Hon Kombowei Benson
Channels TV has reported that the mother of Rt. Hon Kombowei Benson, Speaker of Bayelsa State House of Assembly, has been kidnapped in the early hours of today {Monday} from her country home at Korokorosei community in Southern Ijaw council area of the state by unknown gunmen. Mrs. Betinah Okunwa Benson was kidnapped by men in two speed boats who shot sporadically in the air to scare people away before abducting the 78 year old woman. The kidnappers have not contacted the family yet. Meanwhile supporters of the Assembly Speaker are pointing accusing fingers at the Sacked Five Council Chairmen following the Speaker's claim last week of an alleged sponsored impeachment plot against him,Others claimed the crisis rocking the Speaker's community over his involvement in the tenure elongation of the Community Development Executives may have been responsible. We pray the woman is found safe and sound, In Jesus name. Amen.
