If Pistorius is sent to prison for 'life', that, in a South African context, would mean that he will spend at least 25 years in prison. He would not be eligible for parole until he is 51. How sad all his dreams cut short or evaporated like vapour.

They met the lady at a bar decided to continue the party at home,An argument followed, with DeWitt allegedly calling Hunter a “f----- retard.” DeWitt said Hunter threatened to kill him and said Hunter reached for a 12-inch butcher knife. DeWitt and Leticia fled to a bathroom naked while Hunter ran after them while holding the knife. DeWitt tried to escape and was able to get through the first door, but when he “went to open the exterior door he felt the knife cutting the back of his left arm.”

Over 700 people have been injured after a meteor blasted across the sky above Russia's Ural Mountains this morning, causing explosions and smashing windows. Many of those wounded, 67 of whom are children, were hurt by broken glass, with three people reported to be seriously injured. The blast occurred just hours before the asteroid 2012 DA14 passes the earth in the closest ever recorded fly-by of an object of its size, but the European Space Agency said its experts had determined there was no connection. Witnesses described a scene of panic and fears that “war had broken out” as the blast threw pedestrians to the ground in Chelyabinsk, an industrial city known as a centre for the country's nuclear energy and weapons programs.
The meteor struck at about 09:22 local time as people made their way to work and school children finished their first lesson.

During a layover in New York, an enterprising airline employee decided to help Kim Kardashian and Kanye West on their way back to Los Angeles by escorting them through a "non-public area" to reach their connecting flight. It was a generous gesture, but a misguided one, since basic protocol requires every passenger to go through a TSA security checkpoint before boarding a plane. NBC New York reports that TSA officials heard what happened and pulled Kardashian and West off their plane, resulting in a 50-minute delay for the rest of the passengers, who were forced to wait as the celebs were screened.
