Nelson Mandela Discharged From Hospital
Nelson Mandela popularly known as Madiba has been discharged from hospital after spending 3 weeks in there for a lung infection. This was his 1st Christmas in Hospital and his longest stay since he was released from prison. He would continue to receive treatment at home. He has been admitted to hospital on three occasions in the past two years.
Mr Mandela lives in Qunu, a small rural village in Eastern Cape province, where he says he spent the happiest days of his childhood.
He retired from public life in 2004 and has been rarely seen in public since.

Nigerian Man Arrested With Cocaine At The Airport.
A 48 year old man, Madueke Chukwuemeka Patrick tried to smuggle 1.620 kilogrammes of high grade cocaine into the country from Sao Paulo, Brazil. He was on board an Emirates flight from United Arab Emirates, which landed in the afternoon. He concealed 16 parcels of cocaine sewed into his shorts.
