Former President Olusegun Obasanjo was depressed ,Thursday, immediately he received the rumoured news that his son, Gbenga, was  among the victims who died when the Akure-bound Chattered Associated Airline crashed in Lagos. Obasanjo, clad in a white flowing agbada with blue cap, was a guest at a leadership training programme held at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta, when he received a call during a photo session with attendees of the programme.

Iran Passes Law Allowing Fathers To Marry Their 13 Year Old Adopted Daughters.

A new law in Iran that allows men to marry their adopted daughters at the age of 13 has caused major concern that the country's new president is not as progressive as originally thought. The law was approved by the Iranian members of parliament and maintains that girls can marry with the permission of their father at the age of 13 and young boys at the age of 15. THE Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved a new Automotive Industrial Policy Development Plan designed to transform the Nigerian automotive industry by attracting investment into the sector while phasing out importation of used cars. This was pasted on the wall outside LASUTH. So far 16 people have been confirmed dead while four survivors are receiving treatments according to Mr Muktar Usman,the MD of Accident Investigation Bureau AIB .The NCAA had initially put the number of death at 9 with 6 survivors

A rescue operation is ongoing. At least 13 people are known to have died and several more of those on board were injured. The Associated Airlines plane was bound for Akure, which lies about 140 miles (225km) north-east of Lagos. The plane's engine appeared to fail and the aircraft plunged to the ground and burst into flames, officials said.The charter flight took off at about 09:30 local time (08:30 GMT) from the domestic terminal at Lagos's Murtala Mohammed International Airport. Officials said the plane crashed on to open land within the airport complex, close to a fuel storage depot. The son of the late former Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Agagu, Feyi, Thursday survived the Associated Airlines plane crash in Lagos.

Breaking News : Plane Carry Late Governor Of Ondo State Segun Agagu Crash Lands in Lagos

Eight people are thought to have died after a charter plane crash landed at Lagos airport in Nigeria shortly after take-off. The plane burst into flames on impact, according to a spokesman for the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA). There were 20 people on board. At least eight are known to have died, and one has been taken to hospital.
