There is no iota of truth in the rumour making the rounds that a passenger attempted to bomb an Arik Air aircraft operating a flight from Maiduguri to Abuja today, Tuesday, October 23, 2012.
According to people on the Abuja borne flight that a man was chanting loudly and people started panicking on board before the flight got to Abuja, and the man was swiftly whisked away by security officials. Though reports are saying he was a terrorist but its not true a passenger said he was probably on drugs. Read tweets below..

The Osun state government is to provide free train service for its people during Eid-el-Kabir celebration, Ismail Alagbada, the Commissioner for Commerce and Cooperatives, said. in a statement on Monday in Osogbo that the free service would be offered between Oct. 24 and Oct. 28.
Mr. Alagbada said the train would by 9 a.m. convey people from Lagos to Osogbo on Wednesday and Thursday.
The return journey to Lagos would start by 10a.m. on Oct. 27 and Oct. 28, the commissioner added. It would be recalled that this same gesture was made possible last year no thanks to Gov. Rauf Aregebesola.

Her son Mr. Tunde Solarin, second child of the deceased British-Nigerian told newsmen at their Ikenne-Remo residence said “Though the family is yet to meet to decide the date, I believe she will be buried within the next two weeks.” The educationist died Sunday evening at Babcock University Teaching Hospital Illishan Remo, Ogun State.
