President Jonathan Makes A Flying Visit To Police College Ikeja.
On the way to an ECOWAS meeting in the Ivory Coast, President Goodluck Jonathan's plane was diverted to Lagos where he made a surprise visit to the police college in Ikeja. Sources say that even his top aides were taken unaware by the unscheduled stop. The police authorities were also caught unawares and had in fact rented the college to host a private wedding, which is illegal. President Jonathan demanded that the top brass explain these actions to which they had no sufficient answers.

Police Detectives Are Studying Claims Made By Sheikh Gumi About Yakowa And Azazi's Crash.
Sheikh Gumi
Police detectives are studying audio and video tapes of the sermons in which Kaduna-based Islamic cleric, Sheik Ahmad Gumi, asserted that the late governor of Kaduna State, Mr. Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa perished along with former National Security Adviser, General Andrew Azazi while strategizing against Northern Nigerian Muslims, a top security operative has told SaharaReporters. Gumi allegedly affirmed that Yakowa had been engaging in an anti-Muslim agenda, and that it was therefore necessary to avoid the emergence of non-Muslims as governor of Kaduna State in the future, a point that some senior citizens of Kaduna State raised in a detailed memo in which they expressed concern that Gumi’s weekly sermon was likely to cause serious ethno-religious crisis in Kaduna town.

Letter To Gov. Okorocha:Gross Abuse Of Human Rights Through A Homophobic Attack On Three Men In Ekwe Area of Imo State
By Steve Aborisade
I write in very strong terms to condemn a mob action by the people of Umuka, in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State, Monday, January 14, 2013, against the three men in the attached photographs. Read Here. Our organization have reliably confirmed and authenticated the incident and of the identity of one of the men in the picture, and are calling on security agents to quickly respond to the plight of these men. As it is, only the perpetrators and the community can tell the whole world what has become of these men who were seriously beaten up, stripped naked and paraded around the community bounded together like animals on allegation that they were caught having sex together.
The Man Died So What By Bayo Oluwasanmi.
One of the high profile cold murder cases in the history of criminal justice in Nigeria that is recaptured and re-emphasized is the murder of Dele Giwa.
Few days ago, I stumbled on Giwa’s story in one of Europe’s reliable online portals based in London - EMN NEWS. Though the story is over two years old, Giwa’s murder remains as fresh as the morning newspaper. The story was based on interview with the principal actor in the controversial murder story, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida. He was guest of the London weekly political program You Decide on London’s Ben TV. The aged despot, a diabolical genius and a man with empty cranium with no droplets of wisdom declared that “Nigeria is bigger than Dele Giwa and that issue of his death should be forgotten forever.” The interview conducted by the chief executive of the station, Dr. Alistair Soyode grilled IBB on the killers of Giwa. IBB fielding questions wondered why the nation (Nigeria) is not sleeping because of only one person who met his death long ago. He said Giwa’s death should be treated as history.
