SAHCOL Warns Workers About Stealing From Passengers.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Skyway Aviation Handling Company Limited, Mr. Olu Owolabi, said on Wednesday that the company would not tolerate pilfering of passengers’ luggage at airports. He gave the warning while addressing journalists at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, according to the News Agency of Nigeria. He said seven members of staff, who were caught pilfering passengers’ luggage, were recently sacked. The director assured passengers of safety of their luggage, adding that with the installation of more conveyor belts by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, passengers would collect their luggage on time. He also said the company would send some of its workers to the United States, United Kingdom and South Africa for training so as to man the modern equipment to be installed in the warehouse. “Those that will be trained abroad will also impart such training on others,” he said.
