50 People Feared Dead In Arepo Oil Spillage{Viewer Discretion}.
Over 50 suspected vandals were, yesterday, feared dead in an explosion that rocked the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation,NNPC, pipeline at Arepo village, Owode, Ogun State. Viwer Discretion is advised.
The explosion came following a fire which was sparked off by some vandals who stormed the creeks by boat to siphon fuel from the NNPC pipeline. An eyewitness account stated that the explosion came after an argument erupted between two of the vandals who were struggling to siphon fuel from the pipeline and it resulted into a heated argument that made one of them who was armed with a rifle to shoot indiscriminately into the air. The bullet hit the pipeline which lead to an explosion. Meanwhile gov. Amosun of Ogun state visited Arepo Oil spillage and while there they noted a body floating on the river.
