He was Commodore Murtala Daba, He was married to Ummul and survived by a daughter. He was a funny and caring officer who trained in Italy and Belguim. There was never a dull moment with "Oga dabbos/ dabros" as he's known by friends. With his infectious smile. I met him on a few occasions and he was an Officer and a Gentleman. A devote muslim. Never a dull moment with him. He would be buried according to islamic rites as soon as his body is handed over to his family. May he Rest in Peace. Amin.
