Beyonce And Jay Z Lose Battle To Trade Mark Name Of Daughter.

Singer Beyoncé and husband Jay-Z have lost a battle to trademark the name of their baby daughter Blue Ivy.
The celebrity couple had filed legal papers to protect the name of their first born child soon after her birth in January.

They were said to be planning to launch a range of baby products and clothes called Blue Ivy. They lost out the name to a wedding planner based in Boston, Massachusetts who had that name for her company since 2009. The wedding planner said f they had won her business would have been restricted because she does on average 40-60 wedding a year. 'Blue is a very powerful colour used by any companies and Ivy conjures up a very romantic image. I was very happy with the name, and of course business spiked after Beyoncé called her baby Blue Ivy. She has said that she is willing to relinquish the name if the Carters buy her out.
