Pastor Jamie Coots, the star of “Snake Salvation,” was bitten on the right hand at his Kentucky church, Middlesborough police said. The Pentecostal holy man refused to go to the hospital or accept any medical treatment, police said. Coots, whose show appeared on National Geographic’s television channel, believed snake handling was a commandment from God and a viper’s bite was God’s will. “When I first started church I said if I ever went to a hospital or a doctor over a snake bite I would quit church,” Coots said in one episode.

Boko Haram Targets Christian Town In Latest Attack

Dozens of residents in northeastern Nigeria have been killed in two separate attacks launched by Boko Haram Islamists, according to officials and residents. Scored of Islamist insurgents dressed in military uniforms stormed the Christian farming village of Izghe, in Borno state, late Saturday and opened sporadic fire on residents, killing at least 60 people in an attack specifically targeted at male residents.

According to reports MAVIN's 1st lady Tiwa Savage Balogun was arrested by policemen in front of Eko Hotel and suites for assaulting a policeman. She was apparently flagged down for jumping the lights and refused to stop, the policemen decided to follow her since there was traffic build up and ordered her to stop which she did and an argument ensured which infuriated her further she then removed the cap of the Policeman and used it to beat him in the face. She was arrested and taken to Bar Beach police Station.
