Just How Much Are The Kardashians Actually Worth.
The Kardashians are often accused of being so greedy they'll do anything to make a buck. But what many may not realize is that Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob were wealthy enough that they wouldn't have to work a day in their lives -- even before they started their plot for world domination in 2007. According to the Trust Advisor, their father, Robert Kardashian, left his wife and kids a rumored $100 million estate in trust when he passed away from esophageal cancer in 2003.
And while Kris Jenner is often accused of exploiting her family in the name of her 10 percent cut as their manager, it's not exactly as if she has ever been hard up for cash since Bruce Jenner is reportedly worth $100 million on his own. And with this enormous wealth, the Kardashian-Jenner family has gone on to make even more money. In fact in 2011, a rep for their lifestyle brands told Women's Wear Daily, "the Kardashians could easily be a billion-dollar business worldwide in the next two years." While it's impossible to know exactly how much the family is worth, Trust Advisor puts the Kardashian collective net worth at around $80 million. While that number seems a little low given that Kim herself is estimated to be worth $40 million alone. And no wonder, for she commands upwards of $100,000 per appearance, and sometimes as much as $1 million internationally. They also like to live large. Let's take a look at some of the ways the Kardashians rake in the dough:
CONTRACTS $$$
TV Shows-In 2012 the family reportedly signed a $40 million contract with E! to produce three more seasons of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."
Tweets-Each of the Kardashians gets paid to tweet, and Kim has been paid anywhere from $10,000 to $25,000 for a single tweet if she shills another company's goods. And with nearly 15,000 tweets under her belt (which are a mix of paid and non paid tweets), it's unknown exactly how much cash she pulls in each year with just a 140-character post.
Perfumes -E! News reported that between Khloé and her husband Lamar Odom's "Unbreakable" unisex fragrance and Kim's three scents, the Kardashians rake in another $50 million in making people smell like them.
Magazines-Kourtney's baby & Khloe's wedding each sold for $300,000 to tabloids, while Kim's wedding photos sold for $1.5 million and Britain's OK! magazine paid $100,000 for exclusive bridal shower coverage. They also make near weekly appearances on the covers of tabloids, for which they are paid.
Personal Appearances Kim commands upwards of $100,000 per appearance; sometimes $1 million internationally.
Clothing Line-The Kardashian Kollection for Sears was reportedly set to rake in between $200 million-$300 million in sales in 2012, and while that doesn't all go to the family, but no doubt they get a hefty cut.
Sex Tape Kim dropped a lawsuit against Vivid Entertainment for distributing her sex tape with Ray J, for a reported $5 million settlement.
An example is Kim’s failed 72-day-marriage to basketball journeyman Kris Humphreys, which cost $10 million and attracted close to $18 million in endorsements.
Once their divorce is eventually finalized and he gets his share of that money, Kris Jenner claims they will break even on the event. And the Boldface Inc penny stock has performed dismally, despite the fact it is the home of the Khroma Beauty lines by Kourtney, Kim and Khloé. Kim also took a chunk out of her pocket book by buying Kanye West a $750,000 Lamborghinis for his birthday, even though he is reportedly worth more than her entire family combined. That single romantic gesture could have cost her more than what she earns in a whole season of her reality TV show.
