model and TV presenter Ufoma Ejenobor married her English lover Steve Mcdermott, Actress and Reality Tv star married her Dutch boyfriend ted. and it made us wonder about the trend we seem to be noticing among Nollywood actresses recently means for our Nigerian brothers. its not like they have been totally ignored, afterall well known actresses like Funke Akindele, Mercy Johnson, Stephanie Okereke to name a few have all married Nigerian men. But the trend of marrying white foreigners seems to be growing amongst our female Nollywood role models.
It begs the question, Are our Naija brothers not good enough for our Naija actresses any more or is the "African Mentality" keeping Nigerian men from being as understanding as they should be of the acting profession thereby driving Nollywood actresses into the arms of men that are not as belaboured by such a mentality?
