Lagos State Goverment Spends N800 Million To Light Up Lagos - State Commissioner for Works.

Lagos State Commissioner for Works, Obafemi Hamzat has said that Lagos State Goverment spends N800 million a month to power the street lights. Even when we have electricity supply, you will find out that the street lights still runs on diesel for most of the time. 800 Million to light up Lagos State, i thought the street ligts were solar powered so why generators and how much fuel/diesel do they use. Isnt this a waste....cant a permanent solution be found for lighting the state. That 800 Million can be used to sort out the Electricity situation in Lagos and we would have light. This is wasteful spending by the so called leaders much as a applaud Fashola on this note he has goofed 800 Million when our roads are bad, insecurity, no health care. Maybe i am just ranting. But i have right to....this is wasteful spending.
