Father Who Battered His Son To Death At Cricket Practice Resented The Boy's British Mother For Not Letting Him Visit Him
The father who battered his 11-year-old son to death during cricket practice in Australia was furious with his British mother for denying him access to the boy, a friend said today. Greg Anderson was shot dead by police after attacking Luke Batty during a training session in a Melbourne suburb.
The 54-year-old's housemate today said Anderson blamed the police and his ex-partner Rosemary Batty for the spiral of despair that had plagued him in recent months. The friend, who did not wish to be named, told The Herald Sun: 'He thought the police were out to get him and thought it was all his ex's fault for not letting him see his son. It was everyone's fault but his.' His comments came as it was revealed that Anderson should have been arrested weeks ago after Ms Batty had taken domestic violence warrants out against him. Ms Batty watched in horror as Anderson stabbed and beat Luke to death with a cricket bat on Wednesday after an evening training session. Warrants for Anderson's arrest on domestic violence and child pornography charges were active at the time of the attack, the Herald Sun reported. DM.
