The Foreign Office is investigating reports that two British citizens have been arrested by anti-terror police in Kenya. Sky News sources believe one of the suspects was from Britain and that the pair may have been carrying hand grenades. They were detained in Diani, a beach resort on the country's south coast. A spokesman for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office said: "We're looking into reports of two British nationals detained in Kenya. "We stand ready to offer consular assistance." The reason for the arrests was not immediately clear.
