Monalisa Magazine owned by Nollywood actress , Monalisa Chinda is struggling. According to a report done by the NETng, Monalisa's magazine has failed to break even. A lot of vendors find it too expensive and voluminous.
Despite all the hype, misunderstandings and buzz created before the magazine was launched, it has failed to attract/pull the crowd. For N5000, the magazine is expensive considering the fact that the other well known magazines that have been on sale in Nigeria like Todays Woman and Genevieve only cost N1000, have proved their worth over the years in the Nigeria. Perhaps she was trying to use her Star power to help garner sales and draw followership........it obviously didnt work. Not everyone is cut out for publishing or have what it takes to make it work. What ever the case is....she is yet to prove us wrong.
