Popular Nollywood Yoruba actor ,Olumide Bakare is not ill. He is not suffering from a life-threatening heart ailment, Nigerian Entertainment Today has gathered that the actor’s health situation may have been exaggerated.
When NET reached out to the Association of Nigeria Theatre Practitioners (ANTP) president, Jide Kosoko over the weekend, he said he was ‘unaware of the situation’. ‘I’m not yet aware of this report. I will reach out to the family and get back to you’. Kosoko has now reached out to NET, updating us on the situation. In a phone chat with our correspondent yesterday (December 17, 2013) Kosoko explained: ‘You can quote me anywhere; I am calling to let you know that Olumide Bakare is hale and hearty’. Kosoko did confirm that the actor was ill but explained that Bakare is better now. ‘He was a little ill but he’s ok now. As I am talking to you, he is in the US on holidays’, Kosoko added.
