Tinsel Politics.

\\\
The old Angela Dede (Matilda Obaseki) vs the new Angela Dede (Leonora Okhine)

Her real name is Leonora Okhine a Ghanian prior to coming to Nigeria had probably never watched Tinsel because her own portrayal of Angela Dede is off point and not convince able. Matilda Obaseki who had formally played the role of Angela Dede  has garnered award nominations for her role as Angela especially given the challenges involved in playing the role of a troubled yet determined mentally ill young woman with dignity rather than a caricature. The actress announced her engagement in March 2012 while pregnant with a 1st child. No official word from M-Net on if this is a permanent or temporary change. This is not the 1st btim e the series has has swapped one of its leading actresses, the role of Amaka Okoh and Brenda Mensah have both been recast. The former Amaka played by Uzo Egereonu was pregnant and emigrated to Canada. The old Brenda(Juliet Asante) left due to unforeseen circumstances. Reginald Okoh played by Omar Captan Shariff was killed off the show because he was giving them a lot of diva attitude. M-Net needs to get its act together because the viewers need to know why a particular character was changed or removed, they owe us that much.
