The FCT Police Command on Monday in Abuja confirmed that gunmen fired shots at the car of the Minister of Aviation, Ms Stella Oduah in Abuja. The spokesperson of the command, Altine Daniel, told the News Agency of Nigeria that the incident occurred at about 10 p.m. on Friday. She added that the minister was not in the car when the incident took place.

Angola Bans Islam And Shuts Down Mosques.

Angola has reportedly declared Islam illegal and ordered for all of the country’s mosques to be closed down.
Minister of culture Rosa Cruz e Silva said that mosques in the largely Christian country would be closed until further notice. She described Islam as a ‘sect’ that would be banned as counter to Angolan customs and culture. Following the ban, there were unconfirmed reports that mosques across the vast southern African nation were being destroyed.

President Jonathan had set up the panel on October 23, 2013, with immediate past Head of Service, Alhaji Isa Bello, as chairman and National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki as well as Air Vice Marshal Dick Iruenebere (retd) as members. Saudi Man Divorces Wife Of 3 Months After Finding Cigarette Packet In Wife's Bag.

A Saudi husband divorced his wife three months after they married because he found a cigarette in her bag.
The unnamed man, from the southern Saudi city of Jizan, was so furious at the discovery he immediately filed for divorce. It is believed the woman, who maintains the cigarette was not hers and that she does not smoke, has since attempted to change her husband's mind. Relatives from both sides have also intervened to amend the situation, some reports claim. However, any attempts at a reconciliation have so far failed as the man is said to be convinced the cigarette did belong to his wife.

ASUU Agrees To Call Off Strike But On Four Conditions.

According to reports from the Nigerian Eye, Nigerian university lecturers have agreed to end the five-month old strike, if the federal government says yes to three of it conditions. These conditions will be made known to President Goodluck Jonathan today and if all parties come to agreement, the strike will be called off. ASUU has forbidden its local chapters and zonal chairman from talking to the media, until the end of the session. But a source, who was part of the ASUU session, which was held at Mambayya House in Kano, revealed the conditions as:
