Akolade Arowolo was accused of killing mutilating, stabbing and killing his wife and mother of his child. Until her death Titi was a banker and was with Syke Bank victoria island branch before she was transferred to the Marina office. A Lagos High Court in Ikeja has sentenced to death Akolade Arowolo for the murder of his banker wife ( Read Here then see what the beast did to his wife Here) , Titilayo, who he repeatedly stabbed to death with a knife at their residence in Isolo, Lagos, on June 24, 2011. Justice Lateefat Okunnu, in her judgment on Friday, held that even though there was no eyewitness to the incident, the circumstantial evidence adduced by the prosecution proved the murder charge against the convict beyond all reasonable doubts.
UNILAG Foundation Laying Ceremony Almost Turns Political
Drama ensued at the University of Lagos, Akoka, on Friday, when the foundation laying ceremony of a female hostel turned to a political carnival. The wife of the Nigerian President, Patience Jonathan, laid the foundation of the project. However, various social and political organisations used the opportunity to show support for Jonathan. Girl Stoned To Death For Having Facebook Account
The girl, named in media reports as Fatoum Al-Jassem, was sentenced to death by a Sharia court in Al-Reqqa after it ruled having a Facebook account was immoral behaviour.
She was taken to the court by Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) militants after she was caught using the social networking site, it has been reported.

University of Lagos is set to name a 15-storey girls hostel after Dame Patience Goodluck Jonathan this Friday. At a briefing yesterday, the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Duro Oni, said the 15-storey building expected to cost about N3 billion would be named after the First Lady because of her contributions towards women folks. He said: “It is a female hostel and the person due to be named after it is the President’s wife who has touched the lives of many women.”
