Nigerian Student Uses Science To Prove Gay Marriage Is Wrong.

A student in Nigeria is claiming he can prove gay marriage is wrong through science - and his scientific "breakthrough" is backed by his university. Chibuihem Amalaha, who has won awards in his country for reporting on energy science and featured on various national television stations, says he used a magnet experiment to prove homosexuality is "improper". Amalaha says his "groundbreaking" experiments show the north and south poles of two magnets are attracted to each other while same poles repel each other. He concludes this “means that man cannot attract another man because they are the same, and a woman should not attract a woman because they are the same. That is how I used physics to prove gay marriage wrong". Meanwhile South African Gay Website slammed the report and even questioned the efficacy of the degrees that gets churned out of Unilag. London Bound Arik Plane Makes Emergency Stop In Spain As Woman Goes Into Labour.
An Arik Air flight with over 100 passengers en route to London Sunday was forced to make an emergency landing in Palmas, Spain, as a woman went into labour and gave birth while the aircraft was airborne. The pilot was said to have requested the emergency landing on the advice of two doctors who were on board the aircraft and had helped the mother deliver the baby. After the birth of the child, the mother, whose identity has so far been withheld, was said to have experienced excessive hemorrhaging, necessitating the emergency landing. At the time of this report, both mother and child were said to have been stable but were left behind in Palmas for monitoring by medical personnel, while the flight continued on its journey to London. The airline was trying to ascertain if the woman had presented a false medical report from her doctor on the true duration of her pregnancy or she had gone into premature labour while on board the flight. Women with full term pregnancies are not allowed to travel by air, according to International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) regulations

Former chairperson of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Farida Waziri has disowned a LETTER she purportedly wrote asking former President Olusegun Obasanjo to intervene to allow her secure a second term. Mrs Waziri said the letter was “total forgery” and threatened legal action against those responsible for the forgery. “The letter is a total forgery. I had no such contact or communication with former President Obasanjo,” she told PREMIUM TIMES. “I might consider legal action against them because what they have done is criminal.” In the letter, printed on a purported EFCC official headed paper, Mrs Waziri allegedly promised to reward the former president by turning the EFCC against his opponents and critics if he would prevail on President Goodluck Jonathan to approve a fresh term for her.

A gunman has shot "several" people at the Washington Navy Yard, a naval installation in the US capital, the US Navy has said. The Navy confirmed police had entered an office building in search of a gunman, after shots were fired at 08:20 local time (13:20 GMT). Local news agencies said as many as three people were wounded, including one police officer. Personnel at the yard have been ordered to "shelter in place", the Navy said. The US Navy said shots were reported to have been fired at the Naval Sea Systems Command headquarters at the yard in south-east Washington DC. Dozens of emergency vehicles have converged on the site, and helicopters have been flying overhead. Flights in and out of Washington DC's Reagan National Airport have been suspended, the BBC's Jonny Dymond reports. As many as 3,000 people work at the command, which engineers, purchases, builds and maintains ships and submarines for the Navy. The Washington Navy Yard is the US Navy's oldest shore installation, first opened in the early 19th Century, according to the Navy.

Delhi Rape Gang Sentenced To Death By Hanging.

Four men were yesterday sentenced to death by hanging for the gang rape and murder of a student on a Delhi bus. An Indian court ruled the men should go to the gallows for the attack which left the 23-year-old woman with such severe internal injuries she died two weeks later. The judge said the ultimate punishment was needed as a ‘strong deterrent’ after a case that ‘shocked the conscience’ of a nation. Finally justice is served. Death penalty................hmmmmmmmmm

British Journalist Stands By Story On Gold Iphones.
Simon Osborne, the British journalist, who reported that the Federal Government ordered 53 customised gold-plated iPhone 5S mobile handsets valued at N682m from a company based in the United Kingdom, has said he will stand by his story. In an exclusive online interview with our correspondent on Thursday, Osborne said he is “annoyed’’ that the Chief Executive Officer of Gold and Co, Amjad Ali, “changed his story’’ after an online protest had greeted the development from Nigeria. Osborne who writes for The Independent newspaper in London argued that Ali “stated clearly’’ that the order for the phones came from the Nigerian government as part of the memorabilia for the nation’s 53rd independence anniversary from Britain. While explaining the circumstances that led to the denial, the British journalist said he pressed Ali for further clarification, after some persons claiming to be spokesmen for the government challenged him (Osborne) over the report.

Kaduna House of Assembly Bans Foreign Health Trips For Ex-Governors And Deputies.

The Kaduna State House of Assembly Thursday passed into law a bill to stop the state governor and deputy governor from using the state resources to fund their medical bills abroad after leaving office. The lawmakers also stopped furniture and office accommodation allowances for former governor and deputy governor. The passage of the law, which now reads Pension and Gratuity (Governor and Deputy Governor) Amendment Law, 2013, followed its third reading on the floor of the House yesterday and runs against the proposal by the Executive of the state, which stated that the duo should enjoy free medical treatment in and outside the country with his/her immediate members of the family. The law is now amended to read former governor and deputy governor be treated in any government hospital within the country with his/her four family members. Good call i hope the other Governors follow suit.
