It looks like Kanye West‘s temper has finally caught up with him. The notoriously private rapper is now being sued by the photographer who he allegedly took swings at on July 19. The paparazzo, Daniel Ramos, has hired high-profile attorney Gloria Allred to represent him in the suit. Gloria says the attack seriously injured her client, who went to hospital after the incident, according to a new report from TMZ. If Kanye is convicted of both misdemeanors, he could spend up to one year behind bars.

There is nothing inherently right or wrong with mixed marriages, however, half-Emiratis will always be different in a country which places so much emphasis on being pure Emirati, Gulf News has learnt.
With the number of Emiratis marrying foreigners on the rise, the Federal National Council (FNC) has discouraged mixed marriages and encouraged Emiratis to marry their fellow countrywomen.
“The marriage grants should be granted to more Emirati men to discourage them marrying foreigners,” said Ali Eisa Al Nuaimi, an FNC member. “Many lectures have been held by the fund for parents across the UAE warning them of the negative impacts which might result from Emiratis marrying foreigners,” she said.
The fund has also increased awareness of religious, cultural and social family principles via campaigns across the country.

Former Governor Of Ondo State Olusegun Agagu Is Dead.

Former governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Agagu, is dead. He was 65. Eddy Olafeso, former Ondo State Commissioner for Information, said Agagu slumped and died yesterday evening during a meeting at his residence in Lagos. Another source said the former governor had been sick for sometime now, and had just returned to the country after a medical trip abroad. The source said further that when the traditional ruler of the ex-governor (Orofun 1 of Ijodo, Oba J.T Timola) died about three weeks ago, he could not come for the burial, but only sent condolence message from abroad, even though the late king was his family member. When contacted last night, the Personal Assistant to the late governor, Sunday Oyepitan said: “I am so devastated. I can’t talk to you right now. He was hale and hearty. He came back from the United States last week.” May he rest in peace. Amen.

Baby Elephant Cries For 5 Hours After Mother Tries To Kill Him.

Horrified zookeepers were forced to intervene after a female elephant attempted to stamp her calf to death shortly after he was born. The female elephant had stepped on baby Zhuangzhuang almost immediately after giving birth at a Chinese zoo on August 30. But vets initially thought it was an accident. They removed the calf to treat his injuries and returned him to his mother two hours later - but she started to stamp on him again. Keepers drove her off and took the little elephant away

Governor Amaechi Blocked From Entering Goverment House.

A police detachment in Port Harcourt has prevented the convoy of the Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi from using one of the two entrances to the government house earlier yesterday. The governor's convoy was stopped as it made its way  through the Forces road entrance to the governor's lodge by four truck loads of policemen led by several senior officers. An argument ensued between the policemen and the governor's aides as they claimed they were acting on orders from above. The governor later came down to speak with the police officers who promised to extract a reversal of the order from their superiors in Abuja. The governor's convoy had to wait for 45 minutes before finally detouring to take the Azikiwe road entrance to to the government house.

Soldiers Beat Up Their Brigade Commander Over Boko Haram

Soldiers attached to the 333 Artillery Regiment in Maiduguri, and serving under the newly established 37 Brigade, have beaten up their Acting Brigade Commander, Colonel O.U. Obono for allegedly slapping one of them, reliable defence sources have told PREMIUM TIMES. Sources, who witnessed the incident but asked not to be named for their own safety, told PREMIUM TIMES  the incident occurred on Monday, September 4 at the 333 Battalion parade ground while the soldiers were on night roll call, known as tatoon in military parlance. The sources said the soldiers became angry and attacked the officer after he announced the deployment of the soldiers to various special operations in Borno state shortly after their return from a peacekeeping operation in Mali.“Trouble started when Colonel Obono decided to deploy the Soldiers, and the boys were annoyed because they were supposed to go on ‘disembarkation leave’ for two weeks having just returned from Mali, and they began to show open contempt, the Colonel then slapped one of them and they now became agitated and beat him up,” one of our sources, a defence insider, said.
