A few days ago 12 years a slave actress , Lupita Nyong'o gave a speech at the Essence Black women in Hollywood Luncheon of how she has struggled with her complexion made reference to business woman Dencia and her whitenicious product in her speech. Heres an except from her speech "I want to take this opportunity to talk about beauty. Black beauty. Dark beauty.
I received a letter from a girl and I’d like to share just a small part of it with you: "Dear Lupita," it reads, "I think you’re really lucky to be this Black but yet this successful in Hollywood overnight. I was just about to buy Dencia’s Whitenicious cream to lighten my skin when you appeared on the world map and saved me."
My heart bled a little when I read those words", Dencia did not find it funny and has lashed out on twitter.

We await how this would end, although by mentioning Dencia she has only made her more famous and also opened more doors for her. Talk about a good PR move.
